As a Sr. Technical Consultant, you will work in a highly dynamic, engaging and fluid work environment where your technical expertise will be utilized to design complex projects and lead a team of software developers in support of Computronix software solutions. You are integral to the success of our client projects through your effective design, leadership, and communication.

In this role...

  • You will engage with various business clients and technical stakeholders to drive implementation and ensure a quality solution is designed, built, and delivered.
  • You will be the senior resource for clients on technical design, questions, concerns, and issues.
  • You are an integral part of the senior project leadership team along with project managers, business analysts, and account managers. 
  • You are the primary technical owner on many projects from a leadership perspective and ensure consistency and adherence to quality design standards. 
  • You will design and build complex technical solutions to real-life business problems using Oracle PL/SQL, SQL, C#, Java, ASP.Net, JavaScript, and other technologies.  
  • You will have the opportunity to serve as a mentor and technical advisor for the development team through the design, development, and implementation of software solutions.
  • As the technical leader, you will create and delegate detailed tasks and provide developers with clear context and direction.
  • You will also communicate estimates and actuals with key internal project leaders and stakeholders.

You are perfect for this role if...

  • You possess a depth and breadth of knowledge and experience in a wide variety of technologies such as PL/SQL, SQL, Java, C#, ASP.net, and other technologies.  Familiarity with reporting tools and GIS experience would be helpful as well.  
  • You have a "consultant mindset" to help our clients solve business challenges through a clear understanding of constraints, budget, and need.
  • You have the technical knowledge to do performance analysis, answer software-specific installation questions, and ensure appropriate database backup procedures are in place.
  • You understand how daily tasks fit in the scope of large projects and you are able to apply long-term targets to short-term tasks.
  • You can effectively lead meetings with clear objectives and follow-up action items.
  • Ability to perform FLCD including design, code, test, and debug of complex software programs.
  • Translate and communicate technical concepts and terminology to non-technical business users.
  • You are a leader with integrity, respect for others, attention to detail, timeline sensitivity, and goal-oriented, and desire to be a mentor.  
  • You have a Computer Science degree, 8+ years of software development experience, have been in a client-facing consultant role, and led a team of software developers.  
  • You can travel up to 20% to 25%.
