Computronix, a software engineering and implementation consulting firm is seeking a Senior Project Manager who can assist us in continuing to deliver outstanding business solutions to our clients. Since 1979, Computronix has successfully created win-win relationships with Fortune 1000 and Government clients throughout North America.

We are looking for a senior project manager whose past experience demonstrates:

  • The ability to plan, execute and deliver high quality software projects that solve real business needs
  • A proven success record of acting as the primary contact with the external client from project startup through implementation and warranty
  • A proven track record of successfully negotiating with the external client related to change requests, additional funding, and schedule changes
  • A track record of delivering projects on schedule and on budget
  • The ability to concurrently manage multiple fixed price projects $200K to $5M in size
  • Proven ability to develop and execute to project plans, schedules, estimates, resource plans, budgets and charters.
  • The skills and character to successfully negotiate with clients to achieve win-win solutions
  • An aptitude for working with a team to create innovative solutions for difficult situations
  • The ability to coalesce a team around a common goal and vision, encouraging others to be their best
  • Experience integrating fixed price software projects within government clients is highly preferred
  • The proven ability to work with the project technical lead to drive the project team and interact daily with development team members to ensure task completion.

Desired Experience, Knowledge and Skills:


  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and training.
  • Minimum of 7 years’ experience leading software development projects, preferably with experience in a software consulting company. 
  • Must have external client-facing project management experience
  • Proven, successful negotiation skills that result in a win-win solution
  • Knowledge of project management disciplines (e.g., PMBOK, Schedule, Scope, Quality, HR, Communications, Risk, Change Management, etc).
  • Ability to create and manage project schedules of various levels of complexity. 
  • Must have worked on fixed price projects with budgets upward to $5M
  • Experience with Agile (Scrum), waterfall and/or other PM methodologies.
  • Demonstrate the ability to effectively manage technical team members in a matrix organization.
  • Experience interacting with outside business clients and managing expectations.
  • Experience in measuring project progress and success factors with respect to cost, schedule and quality.
  • Ability to facilitate meetings with strong presentation skills.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Outstanding analytical, problem solving, negotiation and organization skills.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
  • Experience integrating fixed price software projects within government clients is highly preferred
  •  Solid understanding of software/application development and testing; infrastructure experience helpful, but not required.
